Fireworks 31st December

The New Years Eve event

We aim to mark the passing of the year 2019 in traditional manner as we have so done since we welcomed in the new millennium in 2000. Apart for the one year when it did not happen!.
This year we are again well on track to enjoy the camaraderie of being in the Square at Midnight on the 31st .
I am close to receiving the needed funds and I urge all who wish to give their support to let me have it asap as I have to now pay the company undertaking the firing.

The programme for the 31st night is --

• 2330 ish. Our great team of Campanologists will ring out the old year with muffled bells
• 2400 The Tower clock will strike the hour of 12
• 0003 The fireworks will burst in the sky overhead with lots of chrysanthemums etc and no cannons -- as quiet as I can make it.
• 0006 The bells will ring out clear to welcome in the New Year of 2020 and all that this new year will bring us.
