Audlem Educational Foundation (AEF) helps pupils and students under 25, who live in the Ancient Parish of Audlem, to enhance their education.

The Ancient Parish is comprised of Audlem, Buerton, Hankelow and part of Dodcott – cum – Wilkesley and Newhall.

AEF meets three times a year (Spring, Summer and Autumn) to disperse grants for many types of educational activities from Primary age through to University.

In the past help has been given to:

  • all University students who apply

  • for educational school trips

  • to help buy equipment for college courses

  • to help buy musical instruments

  • apprenticeships

  • sporting bursaries including sports equipment

The committee feel that many students are missing out on financial assitance, for example grants can be made for each of University years 1, 2 and 3 and also post-graduation studies. Also there are apprenticeship grants for tools and equipment which can be applied for.

For some reason, many of the current students have not applied for any assistance – is it that they are too wealthy! Also, we suspect that many newcomers to the area, who have children, simply don't know about the Foundation.

A child does not have to go to Audlem St James' school, Brine Leas or Malbank to qualify for assistance.

To apply, click on the link below the photo to the Audlem Educational Foundation page where there is an application form.
