FieldFare on Cue

No not a snooker player, but a bird similar to this was spotted in a local garden recently. We received this message from John Evans.

FIELDFARE RIGHT ON CUE

Last week Judy published a list of birds to look out for in February and this morning (1st Feb) I saw the first FIELDFARE of the year right on cue. We see a few in woodland opposite our house in Audlem most years arriving sometime in February rooting amongst the vegetation on the ground for rotting apples.

Very welcome visitors they are too!
