Next weekend, the best free festival for many a mile will be well underway. It runs from Thursday 21st to Bank Holiday Monday 25th May.
This year's Audlem Music & Arts Festival promises to be one of the best yet, with talented musicians set to take centre stage in what is quickly becoming a must for music lovers from around the UK and beyond.
All this will be set amongst beautiful artwork, fascinating exhibitions, poetry, face-painting, morris dancers and the electric festival atmosphere we've come to expect. On top of that, it's Audlem Carnival on the Monday.
This year the team are pleased to announce a number of excellent young musicians who haven't performed in Audlem before, but are all making waves in the music world.
These include the remarkably talented Olly Flavell who's recently performed at the LF Arena and Symphony Hall in Birmingham, BBC Shropshire pick Josh Briggs, and TeenStar UK finalist Lydia O'Dowd.
Established festival favourites such as Jim Kirkpatrick, Jack Marshall, Billy Gibbons, Ashley Fayth and Heidi Browne are also all confirmed, so if you haven't already booked off the 21st – 25th May, it's time to plan who to hear now!
For more information check out the Festival Facebook page, keep up-to-date on Twitter or visit the official website: www.audlemfestival.com.
The team would like to thank all the local organisations and businesses who have taken out adverts in the programme, along with the core sponsors Morris Care, United Carpets and KMF Precision Sheet Metal. Special thanks should also be given Cheshire East, Audlem Parish Council and ADAS who are continuing support the festival this year.
The printed programme is now available in Audlem pubs and shops. In the build up over the next ten days, check out AudlemOnline and the Audlem Festival websites regularly for Festival news.
