Festival programme out now

The printed programme for this year's Audlem Festival is now available and can be picked up at various shops and the pubs around the village.

With 44 pages of information about the event which runs from Thursday 22nd to Bank Holiday Monday 26th May, it's also packed with information about Audlem's and other generous businesses who fund the event through their support, meaning entry to all the performances and exhibitions is free.

The first event on the schedule is the fantastic Poetry Slam at the Bridge Inn at 7.30pm on the Thursday, now an established favourite.

Emma Purshouse will be hosting the 3rd Audlem Poetry Slam with 15 performance poets going head to head in a live poetry competition.

Performers from far and wide as well as just down the road will make you laugh, cry and think during a fantastic and entertaining evening.

A great way to start your Festival enjoyment. Who will be crowned Audlem Slam Champion 2014? You decide!

Then on the Sunday morning at 10.00am until 12noon at the Mill Craft and Canal Shop you can wipe the sleep out of your eyes as Emma will, once again, be holding a free creative writing workshop on the theme of journeys, entitled Maps, Charts & Plans.
