There will be many good reasons to visit Audlem Mill by the canal wharf today during the Audlem Festival and over the rest of the Bank holiday weekend. The attractions below are not in the official brochure:

Photographic Exhibition of Audlem scenes, many in atmospheric black and white, by well known local photographer Ken Maple. Your chance to buy a dramatic souvenir of Audlem.

Textile Art Exhibition
An amazing display of mixed media textile art by the celebrated Pinfold Textile Artists. Be inspired! Many works are for sale.

Original Watercolour Paintings
By superb Audlem artist Sheila Webster. Most of the paintings are of local scenes, and all are for sale.

Musical Instruments
To celebrate the music side of the Festival, Audlem Mill has a repeat of last year's impressive selection of ethnic musical instruments from around the world – many at pocket money prices. There are instruments from Peru, Bali, Thailand, Africa, and – can you tell what it is yet? – didgeridoos from guess where.

And this event is advertised in the brochure ....

Hula Hoop Competition
For children of all ages!. The person who can "hula" for the longest each day will be awarded a hula hoop as a prize. Hoops are also available for sale at a low price!

Audlem Mill is open daily from 9.00 to 5.00
