Bernadette Marie Cliffe

At the funeral service of Berni in December Colin, her husband, delivered a poem. When asked near the end of her life was there anything that she wanted, she simply requested a poem. Colin had written them for many of their close friends during the last eighteen months but had not yet done one for Berni.

I print it here as a marker for a special and final day – do please scroll down.

This day, the 6th of January, the beloved ashes of Berni were interred here in Audlem.

St Luke's Hospice

On this same day, Colin, Teri and Hannah went to St Luke's to present the funeral donations "given in place of flowers" to the staff there. A grand total of £2250.

Team of the Year

Last November, just after the death of Berni, The Cheshire Team of the Year award was made to the Mend our Mum Campaign and this award has now been presented to Hannah and Terri . I include a photo of the Trophy here.

All of the foregoing are a fitting and final full stop to the so happy- and yet so sad a story.
