Fancy a game of bowls?

Now that summer has finally arrived why not have a go at Crown Green Bowls at Audlem Bowling Club – it’s healthy, sociable and fun.

The Club is located at the bottom of Heathfield Road and currently has 75 members (54 male, 21 female) with ages ranging from 8 to a good deal more.  We are always willing to accept new members, even if you have never played before.

If you would like to have a try all you will need is to bring along a pair of flat soled shoes.  The Club will provide bowls for you and all the help you need to explain the laws and tactics of the game. And, if further encouragement is needed, your first “roll-up” is free.

If you find that bowls is for you and you wish to join, the Club’s Annual Subscription is £24 + a one-off £10 registration fee with the Crown Green Bowling Association. After that there is no further charge to play.

If you hopefully get the Bowls Bug and want to play competitively, the Club has 13 teams playing in three leagues, so there is plenty of opportunity to represent your village. Away matches will take you to places in North Shropshire and South Cheshire that you may never have heard of, never mind visited.

Over the next few weeks you can come along on a Sunday evening, or Monday or Friday afternoons to give it a go.  Please let us know if you are interested and we’ll make sure someone is there to welcome you to Crown Green Bowls.
