Fallen Trees on Playing Field

As has been reported a few times over the past week or so, two trees came down on the edge of the playing field on the Shroppie Fly side.

A very determined resident took it upon herself to report the matter to Cheshire East Council -- stating the potential dangers to health .

CE responded after examination, that they would not do anything as Power lines where nearby.

She then contacted Scottish Power who have been this week to review the work needed to remedy the situation .

As a result SP will be on site towards the end of next week to cut away the trees and debris from any danger of electrocution.

Once this is done, Cheshire East will come to clean up the site .

Then all will be safe again for those who walk etc in that area.

In this era of public safety etc , a huge steam hammer to crack a nut. What would have taken a man with a power saw half a day to resolve. But .....
