We were treated to a wonderful festival of talent and skills last Saturday at the NEP's fourth Schoolsfest. Children from our school presented some fantastic poetry work based on the theme of chocolate – well done to Tessa Sullivan, Ebony Jo Rudd Farnell and Harrison Saunders for performing your poems so confidently!
We were also represented in the joint choir singing which was a super start to the day and several staff from our school shared their singing 'expertise' during a staff choir performance in the afternoon!
If you didn't get chance to see these contributions, our school's art work is still on display at the Nantwich Museum along with work from the other local schools. It makes for an eye-catching display! Many thanks to all of the staff, children and parents who worked so hard and supported this special event.
We had a delicious American Independence Day Themed Lunch on Monday – the children were treated to American Diner style food prepared by Mrs Hayward and Mrs Gavin and it was a fabulous success!

I am sure they will do a great job!
Pearl class enjoyed their outdoor learning on Tuesday afternoon – they searched for natural materials and used these and clay to create wonderful tree characters to use in their story writing.
Our Year 5 children spent a day at Brine Leas on Thursday exploring pinhole cameras and using Design Technology to develop photographs. They made their cameras using old tin cans and they returned to school thrilled with the results!
Children in Sapphire and Pearl classes have headed off to Tescos on Friday to look at Fairtrade items and fruits and vegetables, which have travelled from far and wide to reach our plates. Children in our Key Stage 2 classes competed in our Key Stage 2 Sports Tournament last Friday, representing their teams to gain points for an overall winner. Congratulations to Alder team who won this event overall.
