A nice little ceremony took place at Audlem Tree House on Friday when seven small veterans said goodbye before moving on to big school next term.

Each child was presented with a colourful certificate and a baby Christmas Tree which, Ralph hopes, will eventually become big enough to grace the village square at the appropriate time.

The Tree House staff were also in end-of-term mood, looking forward to a well-earned break before it all starts again in September.

And September will bring increased scope and activity at Tree House as the range of children attending is extended to two-year olds for the first time. The traditional activities will continue, of course, offering a combination of learning and play designed to prepare the children for the day they start at St James Primary school just next door.
