Brambles Cookshop is the only official stockist of Emma Bridgewater in the area (the closest being The Emma Bridgewater Factory!) So Myself and Sandra were very excited to attend a Stockist day at the Factory, where we spent an enjoyable and very interesting day learning about the way each piece is made. Sandra's Mum (now 91 years young) used to be a pot checker and it was fascinating to learn how the technique of making pots at the factory hasn't really changed that much!
From the ladies who patiently hand sponge the designs in silence, to the designers and the pot checkers, it seems like a great tradition is being upheld by Emma Bridgewater. We also enjoyed afternoon tea and had the opportunity to create our own mug and hear about new designs and product launches...and, yes, the Christmas Collection!
Emma Bridgewater have also kindly sponsored The Lemon Drizzle Cake Category of our Bake Off Competition which is taking place on Sunday 29th September at the Audlem Scout Hall in Aid Of Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust.
If you would like to enter a cake and be in with a chance of winning a beautiful Emma Bridgewater 4 Cup Teapot, we have entry forms at Brambles Cookshop, or download here.
You can see the original article about the bake-off here.
