Last Thursday, the South Cheshire Embroiderers' Guild held their traditional Members Meeting at the local Scout and Guide Hall. The subject of the meeting was "Have A Go!" and many members indeed did just that.

There were also "round-robin" demonstrations of a variety of techniques by Branch members which included knitted and crochet bags from plastic bags, woven heart containers, paper and wire handmade beads, crochet/felt fabric corsages, bead weaving using Brick Stitch and how to print images from a computer onto fabrics.

Everyone appreciated the work that had been done by these members that enabled so much information to be shown in such a short time, as well as being able to catch up with old friends after the Christmas break.

Our next meeting, 18th February, will be of great interest for many people, "Introduction to Japanese Kimono and Fabrics" by Helen Smith. Check out Helen's own website at www.clothaholics.com
