Elections today

In todays' election, the six candidates standing for the Eddisbury Parliamentary constituency are:

• George Antar (Cannabis is Safer than Alcohol)
• Andrew Garman (Green Party)
• James Laing (Labour Party)
• Rob Millington (UK Independence Party, UKIP)
• Ian Priestner (Liberal Democrats)
• Antoinette Sandbach (Conservative Party)

Five candidates are standing for the Audlem ward for Cheshire East Council:

• Rachel Bailey, Conservative Party
• Celia Bloor, Green Party
• Lisa Flavell-Matts, UK Independence Party, UKIP
• Brian Halson, Liberal Democrats
• Sarah Parker, Labour Party.

Polling stations are open from 7.00am until 10.00pm.

As is normal with most of the media on Election Day, we will be refraining from political comment editorially and will, for today, extend that to Chatbox – unless, of course, something really tempting comes our way!
