This week we have been extremely busy working on new ideas for the counter at Oxtail & Trotter including quick midweek suppers that will appeal to those who, like me, are struggling to get home in time to make a delicious, nutritious meal to feed the family.
We have put together a delicious combo of chicken fillets with flavoured butters or fresh herbs in an easy cook pouch. This works out at only £2/portion and all you need do is simply fling it in the oven for approx. 25mins at 180c and serve with a jacket potato & salad or with some pasta & steamed vegetables.
These pouches could also be used for salmon fillets or any other fish from our stall. If you would like a few of these making up for the freezer, just let us know and we can get them ready with flavours/butters/herbs of your choice for really speedy suppers.
We have also created a "Whole Chicken in a bag" with vegetables for just £8 – this would easily feed a family of four and all that is required is a few new potatoes or any other carbohydrate of choice to make a deliciously succulent, balanced meal.
We cannot have this entire selection on the counter all of the time, so if you would like to guarantee availability for any day of the week just call or email us – we would be more than happy to help.
We have some delicious Welsh Black on the counter from David Charlesworth, Hinstock, near Market Drayton. This is a traditional beef breed with lots of flavour.
More importantly, until Friday we have 10% off our superb dry aged sirloin steaks. Make sure you pop in before Saturday to take advantage of this!
