Local Dressage Rider Wins at Regionals

Local dressage rider Izzy Maughan last weekend took top spot on the podium at the British Dressage Quest Regional Finals which took place at Warren Farm, Formby.

Izzy, riding her own 16hh gelding, Cracking Opposition won the Under 21's Novice Dressage test, qualifying her for the Quest National Championships which take place at Bury Farm in Buckinghamshire at the end of October.

The winning pair then went on to take 3rd place in the Open Team competition as part of the Cheshire Chicks team, also qualifying them for the Championships.

Izzy, who works as an apprentice for Audlem based dressage rider Gemma Moss says "I am so delighted to have qualified for both individual and team championships. I have a very special little horse who really gives his all to every competition. He was very inexperienced when we bought him and it's been a real pleasure to train with him".

Izzy is a sponsored rider for Fit2Ride UK and is looking for other sponsors to share the progress of her dressage career.
