A reminder that today, Bank Holiday Monday, Audlem Cricket Club is holding the Donald Sutton t/20 tournament.

In addition to Audlem, teams from Crewe and Nantwich will be playing in what should be an exciting day’s entertainment.

Donald, who followed his father as Club President, was well-loved by everyone who ever played cricket at the Gorse Croft.  He was there when the club was founded in 1965 right up to his death in January 2010.  This tournament is held in his memory.

If you want a break from the Beer Festival, why not venture up to the Gorse Croft.

Play starts at 10 o’clock and there will be an all-day bar.  Bacon butties will be available in the morning and there will be a barbecue in the afternoon.
