Dog attack on chickens

I live at Bunsley Bank, Audlem and have had yet another dog attack on my chickens.

I have had seven chickens in total killed on two seperate occasions by walkers with spaniels allowed to run free.

Please could all dog owners using the bridlepaths and country lanes be aware that their dogs should be on a lead or under strict control.

I am a dog owner and animal lover myself but have come to the decision that any dog worrying any livestock on our premises will be shot and signs stating this will be erected shortly. It is an offence for dog owners to allow their dogs to chase/kill livestock.

AudlemOnline adds: We checked whether this incident was related to the stray dog in Longhill Lane reported yesterday. It was not.
