Digital re-tuning perversity!

At a party in Audlem last night, conversation turned for a brief moment to thoughts on the great digital re-tuning fiasco.

Most, it transpired, had been been forcibly re-tuned from North West stations to Welsh TV stations. All were unhappy

There was, however, one honourable exception. A Welsh-speaking resident living in the centre of the village had been automatically re-tuned in the opposite direction.

No longer could she receive news from the land of her birth. Nor could she enjoy the Welsh language programmes she had tuned into for years while living in Audlem.

Even the new experience of a nightly visit from Gordon Burns was little compensation for this loss. Is there no justice when it comes to a digital re-tune?
