Defibs at Brine Leas

Defibs 4 BL6 has been helping the local charity CRY for Matthew raise funds over the last year.

On 7th & 8th November, this resulted in free cardiac screenings of local young people by the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young at Brine Leas. 214 young hearts were screened, of those 3 were found to have symptomless, potentially fatal, cardiac conditions.

These young people have now been referred to a cardiologist for treatment. Hopefully there will be more screenings next year, to save more lives.
