Dawn raid on recycling bins

Audlem Online has received a message about an incident very early yesterday morning.

A lady, who is resident in the village, was out walking her dog at 5.30am when she noticed two men taking clothing from the recycling bin in the car park.

Not knowing what to do, she bravely shouted “Oy”. The men ran off with their bundles, through the bushes and towards the Crown Courtyard car park.

Then she heard a car start up which drove past her, with a blowing exhaust, out of the car park towards the Square. There it stopped, presumably to pick up the two men with their bundles of clothing, before speeding off along the A525 eastwards.

It has been suggested that If anyone notices similar activity, perhaps they should report it to the police.
