Our eldest son, David Furber who grew up in Audlem is one of the 45,000 entrants who is running the 40th Virtual London Marathon on Sunday 4th October.

He leaves his home near Weston and his route takes in Crewe and Nantwich, and then along the canal to Audlem, with a final loop around Kinsey Heath before finishing at Audlem Square hopefully around 2pm. Running with him is his dog, Doug who has also done lots of training. He is also being supported by family and friends who are running different sections with him, as well as his son Matthew who will be cycling the route. The non runners will be cheering him on at various locations.

Supporting Parkinson's UK

David is raising money for Parkinson's UK with the funds being split equally between the main charity and the Crewe & Nantwich district branch which have been a great support for his father-in-law Bob Bennion and also many other locals that unfortunately suffer.

If any of you are around the village on Sunday and would like to cheer David and his dog Doug on, they hope to be running along the canal by the Shroppie fly at approx. 1:25pm, heading towards Cox Bank and along Bagley Lane around 1.35pm before finally finishing in Audlem at 2pm.

To sponsor David

Also if any of you would like to support this great charity and sponsor David on the day this would be greatly appreciated -
