David Furber Finishes Virtual Marathon

London Marathon finish in Audlem

I would like to thank all of you who came out to support me on Sunday for the Virtual London Marathon that I finished in Audlem.

The support was amazing, with many of you cheering me along especially during those last few difficult miles, the finish in the square was also fantastic with everyone cheering me to my target of 26.2 miles and bringing the London Marathon atmosphere to Audlem

As you will have noticed I had a great support team with many local runners accompanying me along the route, and a special thanks to Rev Robin Fox our local Methodist Minister who also joined for the last 6 miles getting me through some tough times and helping me achieve a time of 4:14

Thank you for the kind donations received, in total I have now raised just over £6,000 for Parkinson's UK which is an amazing amount.

Doug also enjoyed the Marathon, still having energy at the end and making a faster recovery than myself.
