A date we missed

Our apologies but, this week, we missed a very important date – this Wednesday was World Pothole Day!

We did receive an email from "Street Repairs" but, with all the other news over the past few days, didn't give this auspicious new event the attention it deserved.

The email said: "We have listened to your concerns and have decided that awareness is key to getting our roads fixed. So we are co-ordinating the very first World Pothole Day on 25th March.

"We all know our roads have declined over the years and they have suffered from continuous under-funding, mismanagement and over use.

"We respectfully ask that you tell your friends and family, share us on social media and we will make them listen.

"Enough is Enough. You are now one of our many tens of thousands of followers and we thank you for your continued support. If you wish to support us further, report issues to Street Repairs website in real time.

"If you don't yet have our free mobile phone app called "Street Repairs" you can download it from any app store."

Belatedly, we are happy to promote this app if it helps fix our roads.
