Saturday 5th October

All is on schedule for the Great ADCA Cow Pat Drop on October 5th.

The special diet including rhubarb and licorice in a bran mix is being prepared for Daisy.

ADCA's fearless panel of judges have been practising observation, evaluation and co-ordinisation of cow pats, much to the amusement of the other bovine residents of nearby fields at Foxes Bank Farm in Hunsterson.

The field has been carefully measured and prepared and rigorous security measures are now in place to prevent criminal gangs from doping Daisy or otherwise influencing the result. For example, Daisy's trainer unwittingly let slip that she is particularly partial to pickled onions, and several shady representatives of on-line betting companies were apprehended trying to bury some pickled onions at specific points in the field.

You can still enter

The closing date for entries is Wednesday 2nd October, so there is still time for someone to place a cross on the form that could win them the £1,000 first prize, or one of the three other cash prizes for the runners-up.

Entry forms are still available at the local retailers listed below and ADCA would like thank them all for their help, as well as all the local people and visitors to our village who have entered the competition to help support the work that ADCA does for vulnerable and socially isolated adults and those with responsibilities as carers in our area.
