Audlem Saints U9s played Cheshire Blades in a a cup game today and emerged victors again. Saints got off to the best possible start when straight from the kick off a sequence of four simple passes carved open the Blades defence. The finish was clinical and Saints led 1-0 with 15 seconds gone!
In a game played at a good pace in cold, wet conditions Saints created lots of chances. Inspired goalkeeping, clearances off the line and a few slices of luck denied Saints the bag full of goals that they deserved. The final score of 3-0 was enough to secure a place in the knockout stages of the cup, with one group game still to play.
