Overnight (Thursday/Friday) four vehicles were broken into at locations around Audlem village. High value property was stolen from the vehicles, including three lap top computers. The police say that you should be aware that with modern wi-fi enabled lap tops and

Palm Pilot devices, thieves can use equipment to detect the wi-fi signal

from the computer and zero in on the car which contains it. It seems

possible that this method may have been used last night.

PC Ken Maple wishes to remind everyone not to leave valuable items in

unattended vehicles – whether or not those items are on show. If anyone noticed any suspicious vehicles or individuals in the village

during the evening and night then please contact Ken as soon as possible.
