Fielding an under strength team Audlem 1st XI battled hard to earn a draw against third placed Frodsham. On winning the toss Frodsham decided to bat first on a good batting track. Their batting hero was Matt Williamson who scored 102 before being smartly stumped by George Gay off Dave Parry's bowling. Simon Banks was Audlem's top wicket taker with 2 for 67. Frodsham eventually declared on 258 for 4 after 43 overs.

Audlem started the run chase well scoring at 5 runs an over before losing both openers in one Williamson over. A stand of 60 between John Wainwright (33) and Banks (28) kept the target within reach. Skipper Chris Shenton kept the run chase on with a quickfire 25, but when he was out Audlem's batsmen put up the shutters, finishing on 198 for 9. Frodsham's Williamson capped his day by taking 4 wickets for 45. Audlem gained 7 points and Frodsham 15.

Unfortunately, due to players being drafted into the 1st XI and holidays, the 2nd XI were unable to raise a team and conceded their game at Frodsham.

Next Saturday is a double header against Appleton, with the 2nd XI at home and the 1st XI travelling to play the league leaders.
