Audlem Cricket Club's 2007 season in the Cheshire Building Society Cricket Alliance gets underway at 2pm on Saturday 21st April. In the new league format of five divisions, the 1st XI are at home to league newcomers Holmes Chapel in Division 3, whilst the 2nd XI travel to Port Sunlight, on the Wirral, in Division 5.

New 1st XI captain, Chris Shenton, is looking forward to the new season following last year's relegation, with promotion the target. Similarly, new 2nd XI skipper, John Wainwright, is expecting a better season than last year, when it was sometimes a struggle to raise a team and is hoping to bring more junior players into the team.

From next week onwards, the Club is holding net practice at the Gorse Croft Ground on Monday evenings, starting at 6.30pm and welcomes interest from prospective players. Directions to the ground can be found at the Club's website, Audlem Cricket Club (The website link that was here no longer works) . Click on "About Us" and then on "Details" under "Playing Facilities".

For further information contact the Club's Secretary, Tom Measures, on either 01270 811105 or 07891 530347
