On Saturday Audlem made their way to Meir Heath to take on the basement club in the division.
The hosts won the toss and asked Audlem to bat first on a very green ,lightly prepared wicket and soon had the visitors in a spot of bother 13 for 2 and then 36 for 3 before talisman, Jack Allman and Dave Parkinson came together in a match winning 142 run fourth wicket partnership before Dave was dismissed for an excellent 51 with the eventual total after the 40 overs reading a very respectable 197 for 5.
A special mention for Jack who has been a revelation this season with his 118 not out off 118 balls in the game taking his aggregate this year to 373 runs making him the highest scorer in the entire league so far.
The total soon proved to be far too many for Meir Heath to contemplate any sort of run chase as they quickly found themselves in all kinds of bother at 21 for 7 with Abijith Jayan playing havoc with the batting, clean bowling 5 of his victims and the other two falling to LBW decisions .
The hosts eventually closed on 78 all out in the 29th over to hand Audlem the points in a comprehensive 119 run victory.
On Sunday Audlem played host to Crewe Vagrants who brought a strong X1 with all the participants regular league players.
Audlem were missing several key team members but still managed a decent total after electing to bat first. 178 was not likely to be a challenging target for The Vagrants and so it proved but it was a commendable effort with excellent contributions coming from Andy Jackson (16 ), Jay Simms ( 29 ), Steve Whilde ( 11) all reaching double figures but once again the star man was allrounder, Dave Parkinson with a fine 53 not out.
Crewe had little difficulty knocking off the required runs with P. Nidamanuri reaching his 50 alongside first team regulars Callum Bacon ( 50 retired not out ) & Callum Meakin not out for 43.
