Cricket Report – floods

Despite the valiant efforts of the ground staff and players last weekend both games were abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Saturday's game against Wedgwood from Barlaston and Sunday's friendly against Lichfield were the latest to fall victim to the almost daily deluge we have experienced throughout the month of May.

The club is looking at the possibility of installing some additional land drainage to sections of the outfield prone to flooding at the end of the current season.

Next weekend the Saturday team are away to Audley CC and the following day the Sunday XI are hosts to Fenns Bank & Iscoyd Park ( 1:00pm start)
