Cricket Club opening Up

With the season rapidly approaching Audlem's cricketers have been preparing for their third season in the North Staffs and South Cheshire League after making the move from the Cheshire Pyramid.

They are hoping to build on their promotion during the inaugural season and near miss last year.

This season's campaign gets under way with a warm up game against our old friends and rivals from Woore this Saturday ( 16 April ) with a 1:00pm start. The league season proper gets under way the following Saturday with a home fixture against Kidsgrove CC.

The Sunday X1 start their fixtures on 1 May with an away game at Burton CC ( Chester ) and now have a full set of games for the forthcoming season with the majority played at home.

Improvements have been carried out on the ground during the close season mainly by the small band of volunteers aided by kind and generous help from a number of local residents.

The club will be holding outdoor net practice evenings now the lighter evenings have arrived and offer a warm welcome to anyone who fancies a go.

Offers of help in any capacity would be warmly welcomed as we are a purely amateur club who are in many instances competing against clubs with far greater resources
