The new season of needlework and canal craft courses is about to commence at Audlem Mill.

Going through to April next year, there's a wide range of subjects, including rag rugging, knitting, bobbin lace, cross stitch, spinning with spindles or wheels, boat cabin crochet, peg loom weaving, jewellery, making a teddy bear, traditional boatwomen's bonnets, latch hook rug-making, and boat fenders.

All the tutors are experts in their fields, and those taking the canal related courses are members of the Waterways Craft Guild.

The full list of courses, with further information and dates, can be found at www.audlemmill.co.uk, or pop into the Mill for a leaflet.

Most are one day courses, though some are two day. The price is generally £50 a day, including all refreshments, an excellent lunch, and cream cakes. Come along and learn a new craft – but, above all, have fun!

The first course is on 17th October 2008.
