Speaking at this week's Audlem Parish Council meeting, Councillor Mike Hill said he wanted to see the Council using its Quality Parish Council tag to better effect. Mike Hill said: "I think the Parish Council should start an agenda of what it can do and how it can help people in the village. My concern is that we've got a Quality Parish Council label – but what are we doing with it?"

"I suggest we come back at the next meeting with a blueprint of how we can do that. We need to keep ADAS (Audlem District Amenities Society) and ASET (Audlem Special Events Team) going because the village needs them."

Councillor Bill Consterdine agreed it would be a good idea for an agenda to be presented at the next meeting. He said: "It often happens that when you see some ideas actually written down you are able to bounce more ideas off each other."

Bill Consterdine also stressed at the meeting how the village should attract more tourists to the events it hosts over the summer. He said: "The more people we can get to Audlem, the more it makes our village viable and the better it is for our small businesses". He commented that a brochure of events in South Cheshire had not featured some major events in Audlem and this was an issue that had to be tackled.
