The Corbrook Park summer garden party, which was held to commemorate the nursing homes quarter of a century milestone, attracted over one hundred visitors including residents, GP's, carers as well as families and friends from the community.

As a result Morris Care, who own and run Corbrook Court, have donated £530 to St Luke's Hospice.

A barbecue and entertainment were provided by the Glenn Millar Tribute Band, as well as cake, vintage, book stalls and a tombola all helped to raise the amount.

Corporate and Community Fundraiser from St Luke's, Mark Porter, said: "We would like to thank everyone at Morris Care for doing a fantastic job at raising such a large amount which will be put towards funding vital care for local people.

"As the charity relies heavily on its donation and fundraising effort we are so grateful for this support which enables us to continue our work and help people at such an important and difficult time. The hospice costs £7,500 a day to stay open and helps 3,000 people every year."
