(The website link that was here no longer works) Corbrook Court, owned and run by Morris Care, today celebrated its 21st year as a care home. Resident at Corbrook for over ten years, Mrs Freda Sproston, helped staff mark the occasion with the ceremonial cutting of a specially designed cake, made by housekeeper Nettie Howell.

Sue Humphries, Chief Executive of Morris Care commented, "This celebration is also a thank you to our staff – their care and dedication has greatly contributed to the success of Corbrook Court where we aim to provide a lifestyle for our residents which satisfies their social, cultural and recreational interests and needs."

Morris Care has recently unveiled plans to create individual extra care apartments which will be available to purchase at Corbrook Court. The restoration and refurbishment of the Coach House and Poolside Cottages, located in the beautiful grounds, is now well underway and completion of the apartments is due spring 2006.

Sue Humphries explained "This kind of housing gives people who might otherwise consider residential care, the opportunity to stay independent for longer." She added "Our new developments will offer independent living, with the assurance of owning your own property, whilst having the security of professional help at hand on site. Menus of services and care, combined with 'on call' support systems, will guarantee purchasers the freedom to enjoy life and an independent retirement.
