Coole Lane closure next week

There's good news for regular users of Coole Lane, currently a rutted road full of potholes and with a badly broken up surface over lengthy stretches. The road is being repaired!

As a result, there will be a temporary closure of the C508, that's Coole Lane, for through traffic from its junction with French Lane (the lane that leads to Broomhall and Sound) to its junction with Hollingreen Lane (the lane to Hack Green).

The alternative route during the closure will be via A530 Baddington Lane/ Whitchurch Road, A525 Whitchurch Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and residents.

The closure is necessary to enable Cheshire East Council to carry out essential carriageway resurfacing works. It is anticipated that the works will be carried out between 08.00 hours until 17.00 hours on Tuesday 18th May and Wednesday 19th May 2010.

The road closure notice will become operative on Tuesday 18th May 2010 for a period of 5 days or for such less time as is necessary to enable the works to be completed.
