All three of Audlem CC’s matches last weekend were called off due to the weather.
The 1st XI, in fourth place in Division 2 of the Cheshire Cricket Alliance, were due to play third-placed Holmes Chapel at the Gorse Croft. Unfortunately, both the top two teams, Wilmslow and Wilmslow Wayfarers, played and won. This now increases the gap between Wayfarers, in second place, and Audlem to 65 points.
The 2nd XI, in sixth place in Division 4, should have travelled to Warrington to play tenth-placed Rylands for what would have been an eminently winnable game. With new boys Chester Asian 1st XI romping away from the rest of the teams, this leaves the 2nd XI 49 points behind Old Parkonians, who are second.
The Sunday XI were scheduled to play local rivals Aston in a friendly match following a three-week gap in fixtures.
On Saturday the 1st XI travel to Hazel Grove to play Norbury, who are in eighth place, whilst the 2nd XI entertain fifth-placed Stalybridge St Paul’s, who are just two points above them. Both matches start at 1.30 pm.
On Sunday there is a friendly match when Willenhall-based Poppyfields make a second visit to the Gorse Croft. This match starts at 2.30 pm.
