Community Care & Access Group

The Parish Plan is being reviewed and the village needs your help.

Many people have completed the questionnaire and the next step is to form groups which will look at each area in depth and come up with proposals based on the questionnaire returns and our own knowledge.

I have a particular interest in children with learning difficulties and disabilities and have volunteered to become part of the Community Care and Access group.

If you have an interest in making our community more accessible to potentially vulnerable groups such as the elderly, people with disabilities, carers etc. then do please join the group. There will be a number of meetings between now and mid-July when our recommendations will be submitted. You can contact me via the webteam.

This freezing weather is set to continue for some time (March if you believe one newspaper). As I was slithering towards the shops this afternoon I gave some thought to how this weather is affecting people in our village.

Audlem is a friendly and strong community and I'm sure we will all keep an eye on anyone who might be struggling and needing a helping hand.
