ADAPT Apple Pressing

ADAPT will be organising the first of the village community apple and pear pressings this Saturday 10:30am till 2pm. under the Buttermarket.

Just bring your washed fruit and plenty of containers. It's fun for accompanied children and adults alike who will be encouraged to help.

Pressing can be messy, so old clothes recommended.

You can make cider, fresh apple juice to drink within a week, cider vinegar, freeze the juice, use it in recipes, or pasteurise it for keeping up to three years. Don't allow your fruit to go to waste, bring it along.

We have a few demijohns for sale if needed.

There will be the usual produce market from 10am till noon with lots this week:-

• free range eggs
• cakes
• preserves
• sweet peas,
• green beans
• courgettes
• pasteurised and fresh apple juice (of course) .
