Coffee Lounge ideal for local shoppers

This week, Audlem Online started a series on Local Shopping. We will be featuring all the local retail businesses over the coming week or so. On Thursday and Friday we featured Williams' Newsagents and the Salad Bowl. Today, we concentrate on the The Coffee Lounge, an ideal place to take a break while shopping in Audlem.

One of Audlem's new businesses, the Coffee Lounge was opened in September last year by Debbie and Vernon Miles, who also run the Salad Bowl. It's proved a very popular addition to the village's facilities.

Debbie says: "We only use the best Italian coffee beans in our wide selection of coffee, which has been said to be the best ever tasted. All staff have been fully trained by a champion 'Barista' and we all take a great pride in producing the best cup of coffee.

"We bake our scones daily and have a wide selection of cakes and tray bakes.

Our Jacket Potatoes are oven baked with a variety of fillings, hot and cold.

"Our menu includes a wide range breakfasts and light lunches, all home made or hand made. We offer a warm, cosy, comfortable ambiance with friendly staff willing to cater for all tastes.

"We now have a beautiful rear courtyard with seating which is ideal for dog walkers and a safe place for the cyclists to leave their bicycles."

The Coffee Lounge during winter will be closed on Wednesdays only, and is still open for business as usual every other day including Sundays.
