Co-op raffle for Donna Louise

Since September, our local Co-op has been running a raffle as part of their desire to be active in our community and they chose The Donna Louise Children's Hospice as the one to support.

The draw for the winning ticket took place yesterday and the hamper with a choice of £70 in goods – given by the Co-op – was , I am delighted to say, won by a very caring local resident of Audlem.

In the months of selling the raffled tickets, the grand sum of £650 was raised and the photo shows Christine from Donna Louise receiving the cheque. Also featured is Natalie Wright of the Co-op who sold by far and away the most tickets – and May Hunter and myself of the Audlem Friends of Donna Louise.

This great gesture by the Co-op – on top of the highly successful Quiz Charity night – means we have raised about £3500 over the past two weeks for this wonderful children's hospice.
