Public Toilet Closure

It is with sincere disappointment that the Parish Council has to announce that the Gentlemen's Public Toilets on Cheshire Street are currently closed due to an incident of criminal damage which took place this week. This has been reported to the Police.

Our local PSCO is checking the CCTV data, and an investigation will be instigated.

The Parish Council is dismayed that a local convenience, paid for by the Parish Council using the precept that residents pay as part of their Council Tax, has been vandalised in this way. The toilets benefit the whole community and it is extremely disappointing that they now have to be closed.

The Parish Council is working hard to improve the toilets for the benefit of the residents, and will continue to do so despite this setback.

If you would like to contact the Parish Council regarding this please email the clerk on parishcouncil@audlempc.co.uk

Statement from Cecelia Bebbington

It is with great sadness frustration and disappointment I am writing this email. I have cleaned the public toilets for several years now and never have we experienced mindless vandalism like we have in the past several weeks. As a result of this last awful act APC have decided to close the toilets as soon as they can be secured.
