The next film coming to Audlem's Public Hall is the very recent release, Up.

It's rated PG and has been critically acclaimed. It's showing in Audlem at 7.30pm on Saturday 21st November, only weeks after its official release. It's a great computer-animated film for all the family but make sure you come armed with a hankie. It's a real tear jerker in places, according to many reviews.

UpCreated by Pixar Animation Studios, Up features Carl Fredicksen, a retired balloon salesman, who is part rascal, part dreamer and is ready for his last chance at high-flying excitement. Tying thousands of balloons to his house, Carl sets off to the lost world of his childhood dreams.

Unbeknown to Carl, Russell, an overeager 8-year old Wilderness Explorer who has never ventured beyond his backyard, is in the wrong place at the wrong time – Carl's front porch!

The world's most unlikely duo reach new heights and meet fantastic friends like Dug, a dog with a special collar that allows him to speak, and Kevin, the rare 13-foot tall flightless bird. Stuck together in the wilds of the jungle, Carl finds that sometimes life's biggest adventures aren't the ones you set out for.

ReviewsSince its release, Up has received very positive reviews from critics. 98% of critics are said to have given the film a positive review with an 8.6 out of 10 review average.

The Hollywood Reporter lauded the film: "Winsome, touching and arguably the funniest Pixar effort ever, this gorgeously rendered, high-flying adventure is a tidy 90-minute distillation of all the signature touches that came before it."
