Small Christmas Trees

After a few weeks of uncertainty in regard to the supply of small Christmas trees we can now confirm we now have sourced these although at a slightly increased price. Our regular supplier has reworked their fields and as such cannot supply us this year. The Big tree is being donated by Angela and Graham Allinson

We have appealed to the residents and traders of Audlem for sponsorship of small Christmas trees for the first time due to increased costs and the need to plan for replacing some of the lights. We now have around £1500 worth of lights for the tree plus 66 brackets and electricity sockets. If you wish to sponsor a tree for £10 please see Sam at the Flower Divas.

Big Switch-On

Our thanks at this time of year go to the band of volunteers who work hard to ensure the Big Switch-on is a success and that the village looks at its best during the festive season. If you wish to volunteer for any of the work involved including dressing the small trees, putting them up in the village, taking them down or marshalling the Switch-on crowds please contact Neil Goodyear on 811283 or email adascontact@gmail.com

Dates for your diary are:

• 17th and 18th November -- dressing small trees with lights
• 19th November. -- erecting the Big tree and small trees around the village ( meet 10 at the Buttermarket)
• 25th November -- Big Switch-on
• 22 December-- carols around the Tree accompanied by Crewe Brass
• 8th January. -- take small trees down and remove lightsAudlemOnline
