Chris Knibbs, a local youthful 59 year old with an artificial hip and ARS member, is attempting a marathon hill walk on 14th June – 28 miles, climbing all the mountains in North Wales over 3000 feet high, 16 peaks in 16 hours, unsupported.
He must be mad, he says, but no he has been training hard. He's decided to do it for charity, the Staffs Air Ambulance (Reg Charity No 1001064) which is entirely run from public donations and can be there to support us quickly when we need it.
Any donations will be gratefully accepted. If donors are a UK taxpayer, the County Air Ambulance will receive 28p in every £1 from the Inland Revenue at no extra cost to them. Just quote your address and post code with the donation pledge. Chris will collect donations if he completes the challenge within the time. Confirmation of timing will be recorded on Digital data.
