ADAS each year provide a young plantlet for all the children at Audlem school to grow through the summer months.

This year the task was to grow as big and sound a pumpkin as they could.

The presentations took place after I addressed the school at morning assembly. The winning children of each year were:
Nursery – Oliver Tew-Goodwin.
Reception – Ebony Jo Rudd-Farnell.
Yr 1 – Lily Rayne
Yr 2 – Lizzie Edwards
Yr 3 – Amber & Toby Riley
Yr 4 – Ruby Preston
Yr.5 – Oliver Lowe
Yr 6 – Edwin Farnell-Buckle .

All are seen here with their prizes. The children will now discuss next year's ideas with the class representatives and then the School Council will vote and tell us their decision.

Ruby Preston's pumpkin, the largest of all, will be displayed in a village shop as a guess the weight challenge in aid of a charity.

All in all a lovely time and each child who managed to grow a pumpkin received a prize too.
