Cheshire East Council has pledged to investigate claims that people are unable to post comments on the controversial Gladman plans.

Posts on AudlemOnline's Chatbox today suggest that people were unable to comment on the planning application 13/2224N this morning.

Our own efforts to use the Cheshire East webpage proved fruitless when, after filling out the 'Comment' form several times, the 'Submit' button failed to do anything.

A spokesman for Cheshire East said they would look into the matter immediately.

He added: "I will get onto our planning and IT departments straight away. We need to make sure this is working properly. It must be very frustrating for those wishing to make comments."

There is already concern at the low number of comments about the Gladman plans posted on the Cheshire East webiste which stood at nine this morning.

This is despite vociferous opposition to plans by Gladman Development to build 120 homes on a green field site at Little Heath.

One Chatbox posts today said: "I tried to register my objections with Cheshire East, using the form which AoL kindly provided, but without success – there was "an error" – ?!"

Another post added: "I also tried to register a complaint this morning but it was thrown back as an error has occurred."

People objecting to the Gladman scheme have had since June 24th to register their comments on the plans and any representations must be in by July 24th.
