Information Bulletin Re: Flooding

With more rain forecast this week, Cheshire East Council is urging residents and motorists to be aware of potential flooding problems.

Highways teams have had to close three roads in the Borough while work continues to tackle flooding. These are Windmill Lane in Buerton and Maw Lane and Gresty Lane in Crewe.

Cheshire East Council's highways teams have attended 20 flooding incidents since Sunday's heavy and persistent downpours and continue to attend instances of localised flooding in various parts of the Borough.

Motorists are urged to be alert to possible road flooding and all residents are advised to contact Cheshire East Highways to report any incidents of flooding. The number to call is 0300 123 5020.

The Council continues to monitor weather conditions and more heavy rain, intermingled with dry spells, is forecast for the week ahead.
