Cheshire East enforcement Order on Turnpike Field

At the Audlem Parish Council meeting on the 12th June it was announced that Cheshire East Planning Dept has placed a requirement on Audlem Parish Council to submit a

"Retrospective Planning Application for Change of material use and operational development."

This apparently occurred after a Planning Enforcement officer turned up on site following a complaint from a member of the public that work on the entrance gate was being carried out without planning permission.

He noted also the work that had been done to place picnic tables, wildlife ponds together with general maintenance to make Turnpike Field an enjoyable and safe place for residents and a wildlife haven.

Audlem Parish Council claimed to have sought and had confirmation the planning permission was not required for most the above items. However it will comply with the Enforcement order and seek retrospective Planning Application for Change of use.

The Council has 28 days to submit an application during which time activities on the field should be suspended (other than dog walking)

However, Councillors are seeking dispensation for activities already under planning related to to the village fete, Party on the Park, and transport festival to be able to proceed.

A planning Consultant has been identified  and will be contracted immediately

A full statement from the Audlem Parish Council is promised for the near future.
